About Diamond Clarity

Clarity has a great deal of affect on the cost of a diamond, but only a small affect on the beauty and brilliance of a diamond.

The major consideration in choosing your diamond Clarity is to gain a price advantage by buying an I1 or I2 diamond (which will show visible inclusions), or to pay a little more for a diamond that is Eye Clean, rated SI or above (which shows no inclusion visibe to the naked eye).

We sell diamonds above SI, but the only way to see the Clarity difference is under magnification of 10X or more.

About Diamond Color

Color has no affect at all on the brilliance of a diamond, but the whiter shades carry a higher price tag.

The divisions on the GIA Color Grading Scale are very minute, and most people would not notice a yellow tinge until the diamond was at or below K on the Color Scale. Even a trained professional would have trouble discerning the difference between an H Color diamond and an F Color diamond after it is mounted.
